Welcome to our virtual community notice board. Here we will will list activities that other people host at Shanti Bee. There are many other activities that happen we can’t get up on here and so please join the Facebook Group: Shanti Bee Community Group to keep in touch with practitioners that hire the space to host activities.
Some are regular weekly or monthly sessions, others are ad hoc.
These practitioners hire the centre and bring their expertise to offer you these sessions.
Often you will find you can go a little deeper into practice in an extended workshop than you can in a weekly drop in class. It’s a great opportunity to immerse yourself in a practice. You will need to book and pay directly with them.
Thanks,
Shanti Bee x
Yoga for the Global Majority
@thesamadhinest_yoga | thesamadhinest@outlook.com
Sister Shack, a Black and Queer-led Activist and intersectional Feminist CIC whose work centres around social justice and community inclusion for marginalised people, and The Samadhi Nest, a Global Majority Yoga Teacher focused on yogic practices for emotional and psychological well-being in particular for minority groups and those who may not have always felt welcome in wellness environments, are hosting Yoga Classes for the Global Majority at Shanti Bee.
Our mission is to create inclusive and safe spaces where the Global Majority can reconnect with their bodies and feel empowered through movement and community. This is your chance to find stillness and support in a safe and affirming environment. All are welcome, but these classes have been created specifically for the Global Majority.
This practice is designed to provide a safe and affirming space where you can feel held, seen, and supported.

What to Expect:
- Yoga Class led by a Global Majority teacher, Carina from The Samadhi Nest
- Gentle, steady movements to stretch and strengthen the body
- Focus on breathwork (pranayama) to calm the mind and energise the body
- Accessible postures suitable for all levels, including beginners
- Relaxation and mindfulness practices to release tension and foster inner peace
- A supportive, inclusive environment tailored to the Global Majority
- A cosy & warm studio equipped with all the props such as mats, bolsters, and blankets so you don’t have to worry about bringing any of these.
This is your hour of peace and renewal. Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this class is designed to help you unwind and nurture your well-being.
We can’t wait to practice with you.
